ITA has ordered 17 A330-900s

Each A330-900 will have 291 seats – 14% more than the A330-200 they will replace. There will be 30 seats in business (Magnifica), 24 in premium economy, and 237 in regular economy. The neo will provide more seats in every class, most notably 50% more in business.

Up to five daily departures

ITA has scheduled a maximum of five daily A330neo departures from Rome this summer, each occurring on October 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, and 26th (the summer season ends on the 28th). For example, on Tuesday, October 3rd, the following all due to departure. It will, of course, need five A330neos plus any spare.

A330neo: numero uno in October?

Examining ITA's widebody schedule from October 1st to the 28th indicates that the A330neo will have more Rome departures on October 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, and 26th than both the A330-200 and A350-900. Its dominance will quickly grow.
