Qatar Airways has announced that it is adding Qsuite equipped aircraft to four new routes over the next few months. The destinations are in three countries, with flights to Amsterdam, Singapore, and Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita all set to feature Qsuite equipped aircraft.

Not all routes will have the same aircraft. The Doha to Haneda and Doha to Singapore routes will use one of Qatar’s new Airbus A350-1000. The two other destinations will feature Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Flying The New Routes

If you can't wait to get yourself into one of Qatar’s Qsuites and want to make a booking, the routes’ start dates and flight numbers are as follows:

Tokyo- Haneda Daily

  • Starting January 1, 2019: QR812 Doha to Tokyo Haneda
  • Starting January 2, 2019: QR813 Tokyo Haneda to Doha

Tokyo- Narita Daily

  • Starting January 1, 2019: QR816 Doha to Tokyo Narita
  • Starting January 2, 2019: QR817 Tokyo Narita to Doha

Amsterdam- Schipol Daily

  • Starting October 1, 2018: QR273 Doha to Amsterdam
  • Starting October 2, 2018: QR274 Amsterdam to Doha

Singapore- Changi Daily

  • Starting November 1, 2018: QR944 Doha to Changi
  • Starting November 2, 2018: QR944 Changi to Doha

Remember that while Qatar offers one daily flight to Amsterdam and both Tokyo airports, it has three daily flights to Singapore. However, even after the introduction of the Qsuites on the Singapore route, only 2 of the 3 flights will have them. So, it is always worth double checking to make sure the aircraft you are booking on has the Qsuites

Choosing Your Qsuite

All the Qsuites are fantastic, although some are slightly more fantastic than others. Selecting the right Qsuite can turn an already brilliant experience into an amazing one.

Your choice of Qsuite will depend on whether you are traveling solo or as a couple. If you are flying solo, you want any of the A or K seats. These are in rows 1, 3, 5, 8 and 10. The seats offer excellent privacy and excellent views from the windows.

For couples who like to chat and spend time together, the middle seats are the way to go. Seats E and F are located in odd-numbered rows starting from row 1. Although the middle seats lack a window, they more than compensate for it with great privacy and intimacy. On long-haul flights lowering the partition creates a double bed. These are almost the perfect seats for couples traveling together in the sky.

More QSuites to Come

When the new routes come online, there will be a total of 20 destinations served by Qsuite equipped aircraft; ten in Asia, four in Europe, two in the Middle East, and four in the US. As more of Qatar’s 37 Qsuite equipped Airbus A350-1000 are delivered and enter service, we should see the route network expansion gather pace. The increase should peak when Qatar hosts the 2022 Football World Cup.
