American Airlines has opened a new Admirals Club at its hub in Terminal E at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport With this new lounge, American now operates an Admirals Club in every terminal of DFW airport. But, that is not all. The airline is also revealing some new food options at Admirals Clubs too.

American's operates a number of lounges called Admirals Clubs. While Admirals Clubs are available at a host of locations, American Airlines also offers more exclusive Flagship Lounges at several airports which also have an incredibly exclusive Flagship First Dining Experience.

The new Admirals Club in Terminal E

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport frequent fliers will know that Terminal E is not the most desirable in the airport. Terminal E is a satellite terminal at DFW Airport that caters more to regional travelers on American Eagle flights. Traditionally, passengers would have to go to another terminal to access an Admirals Club. Now, American will have a lounge dedicated to servicing regional passengers.

Terminal E received an upgrade prior to American Airlines opening this new lounge. Consequently, the refreshed satellite terminal is a nice upgrade for customers used to flying on regional carriers.

DFW is American's largest hub. As a result, the airport sees a large number of frequent fliers with Admirals Club memberships, AAdvantage elites, and qualifying First or Business passengers. Thus, this new lounge should help reduce some crowding at other Admirals Clubs in the airport.

As is the norm with Admirals Clubs, complimentary food is a great bonus. Passengers visiting this Admirals Club will also have access to buffet-style dining.

Moreover, American Airlines will be putting out a series of new menu options at Admirals Clubs across the country.

American introduces new menu options

These new menu options are different depending on location. Major-market and mid-market locations, as American calls them, will get different food options. For breakfast, major-market locations will see new lighter options for passengers seeking a quick bite. For example, American will offer egg scrambles as a breakfast option.

In mid-market locations, American is going for a custom-designed culinary experience. Although not as grand as Flagship First Dining, passengers can build their own macaroni and cheese– which should be a hit for both children and adults– and build-your-own Cobb or Caesar salads depending on location.

But, for passengers who want something more, January 28th will see some new options at Admirals Clubs. American Airlines will introduce build-your-own grain bowls at major-market locations. However, this will replace the macaroni and cheese at major-market locations.

While these food options are not from the same vein as American's hyped up and delicious dishes created in partnership with Chef Sarah Grueneberg, it is refreshing to see some new options come to Admirals Clubs.

Overall

Ultimately, American is making a big drive for premium passengers. The opening of this new Admirals Club in DFW's Terminal E is another move. While this is amazing news for passengers flying on regional jets, this should also help reduce some traffic at other Admirals Club making the lounge experience a little better across clubs at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
