Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy a live airshow from the comfort of their own homes with the upcoming third Aerobility Armchair Airshow. The show, broadcasting free of charge for three hours on May 28th, will feature The Blades, Red Arrows and an auction for viewers.

The 3rd Aerobility Armchair Airshow

There are less than two weeks to go until this year's Aerobility Armchair Airshow. Disabled flying charity Aerobility will put on the live airshow from London Biggin Hill Airport.

Viewers from home can tune in completely free of charge for the three-hour bonanza by visiting www.armchairairshow.com. The event will be streamed on YouTube from 13:00 GMT+1 on May 28th.

Mike Miller-Smith, CEO of Aerobility, said,

"This is the third Armchair Airshow and it continues to develop and evolve giving viewers a unique chance to see behind the scenes, get up close and personal with aviators and aircraft alike."

Previous editions have featured some fascinating aircraft and teams from the world of aviation, including NASA, USAF and Snow Birds, along with a look at B-17, F-35, Spitfire and Chinook aircraft.

Aerobility is hosting the airshow in support of its work enabling disabled people to learn to fly. Your hosts for the show will include George ‘Smokey’ Bacon, MBE; Aerobility CEO Mike Miller-Smith, MBE; Aerobility Chairman Shona Bowman; and former RAF pilots Liz McConaghy and Mike Ling, MBE.

Miller-Smith added,

"The support we have had from organizations such as Aerobytes, London Biggin Hill Airport and the Department for Transport, enables the show to grow every year, providing inspiration, through aviation to the tens of thousands of people that tune in. We could not do it without the amazing support of the aviation community. We cannot thank them enough."

See The Blades and Red Arrows live
