According to research conducted by Nielsen Fan Insights, Las Vegas has rapidly become the most desirable travel destination among US sports fans. Several other airlines have recently increased their offerings from the Nevada city, including Breeze Airways. The startup airline added Las Vegas to its network in March of this year.

US ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines added service from Las Vegas to Memphis, with additional routes to Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), Boise Airport (BOI), and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) coming in August. Spirit will see direct competition on its Albuquerque route from Frontier Airlines. The potential merger partner similarly announced a new route connecting the city pair, along with services from Las Vegas to Monterrey and Guadalajara in Mexico.
