ANA ended up with an order for 3 A380s as part of a deal when they acquired failed carrier Skymark's slots at Tokyo's Haneda airport.

ANA has indicated that the A380s will be exclusively flown between Tokyo and Honolulu. This makes sense since the route is incredibly popular. ANA flies up to 3 787s a day to Honolulu in addition to Star Alliance partner United's daily 777.

ANA will outfit their A380s with 520 seats. The upper deck will feature 8 seats in first-class suites in a 1-2-1 configuration. These suites will feature 32-inch monitors and a variety of storage options.

In addition, the A380 will also hold 56 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. These seats will not feature a door and will have an 18-inch IFE screen with direct aisle access.

At the back of the upper deck, ANA will fit 73 sets in a 2-3-2 configuration. These seats will be similar to what is found on other carriers with up to a 15.6-inch monitor and 38 inches of pitch.

The lower deck will be configured with 383 economy seats in a 3-4-3 configuration. Bucking the trend of other airlines, ANA's economy will have 34 inches of pitch and up to a 13-inch monitor.

The rear lower deck of ANA's A380s will have 60 couch seats that ANA has branded "ANA COUCHii". This seems to be a trend among some airlines. ANA's COUCHii will have leg rests that can be raised to create a bed. To top it off, ANA is providing bedding for the couch seats.

ANA is making the A380 incredibly special. In Honolulu, ANA is focusing on a new lounge that will have direct boarding to their A380!
