About Avelo Airlines

Avelo Airlines launched its first flight on April 28th, 2021 and now serves 19 destinations across the US. The airline was formed after Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy, former Chief Financial Officer at United Airlines, purchased Xtra Airways before rebranding in early 2021.

The airline has adopted a low-cost model focusing on providing point-to-point flights between underserved cities. Levy raised $125 million before launching, first investing in three leased Boeing 737-800s before leasing three additional 737-700s.

Avelo's two hubs are located at Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) and Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN). Florida is the airline's most-served state with six destinations. Other notable destinations include Las Vegas (LAS), Fort Collins (FNL) and Eugene (EUG).
