First Airbus A350 route

Azul Linhas Aéreas has just released the first route with its new Airbus A350 aircraft. The A350 has a capacity of up to 334 passengers and a fuel economy of about 20% per seat. The addition of the A350 is part of Azul's fleet modernization. Nicknamed "50 Também É Azul" (50 is also blue), the new aircraft will be integrated into the fleet and operate flights to Orlando beginning on December 15.

Azul currently operates two daily flights from VCP to MCO, and only one of the two flights will be operated by the A350 from December 15. But starting on January 1, 2023, both of Azul's daily operations to MCO will be on the new aircraft. Azul will take delivery of a second A350 by the end of the year.

The flights will take off from the Aeroporto Internacional de Viracopos in Campinas, home to the airline's largest hub.

"We are thrilled to announce Orlando as the destination of our first Airbus A350. This is one of the Brasilian people's favorite destinations. Now, passengers will be able to experience a more silent cabin, larger seats, larger windows, and larger overhead bins." - John Rodgerson, President, Azul Linhas Aéreas

The A350 is configured in a three-cabin configuration with 33 seats in the business cabin, 102 Economy Extra, and 199 Economy. Beyond offering more comfort for passengers, the new aircraft is more efficient in fuel consumption and carbon emissions per seat compared to aircraft from previous generations.
