Why The Delay?

There have unfortunately been several events which have delayed the launch of Bamboo Airways. As such, we’ve reported many expected dates for services to commence. In fact, the most recent date reported by Simple Flying was 27th of December following the delivery of the first aircraft. This is following the airline’s original proposed launch date of October 10th 2018. The main obstacle to launching the airline was obtaining the relevant licenses. In November, the airline received its air transport business license from the Vietnamese Aviation Authority. However, the airline still required its air operators certificate.
