While Boeing isn’t busy competing against Airbus or trying to purchase Embraer, the US Aerospace Giant is working on its executive business jets. Boeing manufactures a range of aircraft for the private aviation sector. These range from Executive B737s, all the way up to B747s and B777s.

Typically Boeing's Business Jets are normal Boeing aircraft fitted with a premium interior. Now, the American manufacturer is to build its biggest and best Boing Business Jet (BBJ) yet. One of the new B777x BBJ models will reportedly have the range to fly almost anywhere in the world.

Not Cheap

Boeing Business Jets are not cheap. Ignoring the cost required to run one, they can sell new for up to $400million excluding the interior. Additionally, usually, only the rich and famous, and huge companies operate the premium aircraft. Recently Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted renting an executive B747 jet. While not strictly speaking BBJs, the two new Air Force One aircraft being built by Boeing are expected to cost in the region of US$4 billion.

B777X BBJ Specifications

The specifications for the longest range BBJ are pretty impressive. The base aircraft is designed to carry a large number of passengers across huge ranges. The BBJ will be carrying much fewer passengers. This means that the aircraft can have an increased range, as aircraft range usually decreases with weight. The B777X-8 will have a range of 11,645nmi (21,570 km). As such, the aircraft comes with 3,256 sq. ft. (302.5 sqm) cabin. The B777X-9 will have a reduced range of 11,000 nmi (20,370 km), however, will feature a larger 3,689 sq. ft. (342.7 sqm) cabin.
