While being a ramp agent has its perks, such as being surrounded by a plethora of aircraft, one particular agent had his best day ever while handling an American Airlines flight. The agent spotted and made contact with 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul' star Giancarlo Esposito, and even received a share on the star's social media channel as a result.

Not a regular night at work

Esposito - best known for his well-loved villainous role of Gus Fring in the crime drama series, had just finished a weekend appearance at this year's South Texas Comic Con in McAllen, Texas. The American actor was flying out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on a late-night American Airlines flight on May 3rd and was sitting in his window seat while his flight was being prepared and loaded.

All seemed like a regular flight until Esposito heard a knock on his window, and saw a ramp agent beaming in at him. He held up his phone with a photo of the actor on the screen, and seemed very pleased indeed with his spot. While Esposito could have easily dismissed the ramp agent or felt annoyed at being spotted and 'approached,' the actor instead made the ramp agent's shift even better.

After taking a photo of the fan-tastic interaction with the ramp agent, Esposito humbly took to his social media to share the moment and his appreciation for all his fans and the support they've given him from anywhere in the world. Needless to say, the Internet found another reason to adore the actor.

Not the first spotting of Esposito

Although the villainous actor humbly stated it was his first time getting spotted in public, it's actually not, as Esposito has been noticed by his fans on numerous commercial flights. In fact, he once scared a fellow female passenger while queuing for the aircraft lavatory. She was so frightened that she kept insisting he used the lavatory first despite already being ahead in the line.

Realizing that the female passenger might not have differentiated between himself and his criminal role on television, Esposito had to reassure her that he was him, not Gus Fring, as seen on 'Breaking Bad.' Only through this reassurance did the female passenger calm down, and she explained that his on-screen character terrified her.

Albeit most of his less frightening spotting moments were primarily from afar, as his fans wanted to respect his privacy or were too nervous about approaching him, some managed to get a photo taken with the actor after their flight had landed.

Bottom line

Just as any lucky fans would be delighted to meet Esposito in the flesh, the ramp agent who got the social media shoutout was no doubt jumping over the moon. If anything, it was undoubtedly the best shift in his career.
