This media stunt reminded passengers now traveling with British Airways to enjoy the new inflight entertainment partnership between the airline and Paramount+. The streaming service will be available for all long-haul passengers. Using the simplicity of a QR code, passengers unable to finish their favorite film can continue streaming this once on firm soil. Chief Marketing Officer of the UK at Paramount, Anna Priest, commented on the partnership:

“This partnership is a fantastic platform for our continued growth in the UK, allowing us to introduce millions of customers a year to some of the best shows anywhere, available on Paramount+. We’re confident that British Airways customers will love what they see and be encouraged to continue exploring the mountain of entertainment on offer.”

Free streaming for Bronze members and above

British Airways Bronze and above members will now be entitled to a free month of the streaming service on Paramount+ as a reward from the airline.

The stunt at the United Kingdom's largest airport included flying the costumes specifically for the walkthrough. Costume designer Bernadette Greaney styled five of her colleagues into their unique lieutenant uniforms, with two as Vulcans. This was a first for the franchise, as bringing characters together from different universes thousands of years apart is something not seen before.

British Airways' Chief Customer Officer, Calum Laming, further commented on the launch of Paramount+ that now all long-haul passengers will be able to enjoy, regardless of travel class:

“We wanted to kick-off this announcement with Paramount+ in true blockbuster-style by bringing some of their exclusive content to life, directly to our home at Heathrow Terminal 5. It was great to see so many Star Trek fans from across the business come together to help us celebrate this launch, with many colleagues excited to swap their wings for the Starfleet Insignia for a day.''

We know that customers are really going to enjoy the hours of content that this partnership with Paramount+ brings. There really is something available for everyone!”

Enhancing the travel experience

The partnership is a continued aim to enhance British Airways passengers' customer experience. More recently, this has included the return of its Club World meal service, which was modified at the height of the pandemic.
