British Airways announced last year that it was investing £6.5bn for its customers. As a result, the airline will add 72 new aircraft to its fleet over the next five years. Additionally, it will upgrade the interior of 128 of its long-haul aircraft.

The new First Class soft product is also a part of this investment.

Which new amenities will British Airways offer its First Class passengers?

British Airways will offer a variety of new amenities including new bedding and new menus.

First of all, First Class passengers will be able to choose their meals from a new a la carte menu. The meals will feature seasonal ingredients from Britain. In addition, passengers will be offered a new afternoon tea service. They will be able to select from a variety of sandwiches, scones, pastries, and teas.

According to Carolina Martinoli, British Airways' Director of Brand and Customer Experience, British Airways' "teams of designers, chefs and customer service experts have carefully thought through the details [they] know matter most to [its] customers." Additionally, in its "centenary year, [the airline has] sought out some of the best British designers and manufacturers to work with to ensure travelling in First with British Airways is an unforgettable experience.”
