British Airways has today announced intentions to launch six new routes from its London Heathrow home next year. Additionally, the British flag carrier will increase the frequency of 16 other routes.

London-based British Airways has today announced that it will be launching six new routes next year. The carrier will launch each of the routes from its home at London's Heathrow Airport. Each destination will be within Europe. While some of the destinations are totally new to the carrier, others are being reconnected to the network. One route is in addition to a London Gatwick Connection.

Brand new destinations

British Airways is launching three brand new destinations from its London Heathrow hub. From the 4th of July 2020, the airline will fly once a week to the capital cities of Kosovo and Montenegro; Pristina and Podgorica. These flights will operate on Saturdays until August 29th. This means each round trip will be operated nine times.

BA is also launching a brand new connection to the Italian city of Perugia. Unlike the previously mentioned routes, the airline will fly from Heathrow to Perugia three times per week. These flights will commence on the 2nd of July, ending on the 31st of August. The route will be flown on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Two Turkish destinations

Additionally, the carrier will be returning to two Turkish coastal towns from London Heathrow. While one is currently served from London Gatwick, the other is new to the carrier.

Firstly, British Airways will be complimenting its London Gatwick - Dalaman service with a weekly flight on Saturdays. Bodrum will also be added back to the carrier's network, again with a weekly Saturday service. The Turkish London Heathrow flights will operate from May 23rd until the 24th of October. These Turkish routes will complement a new route from London Gatwick to Antalya.

The Greek islands

British Airways is also looking to launch routes to two Greek islands. One from each of London Heathrow and London Gatwick. Firstly, British Airways will launch a weekly Saturday service from London Heathrow to Rhodes. This service will operate between July 4th and August 29th and will complement the existing London Gatwick route to the island.
