For those of you seeking an early-summer Caribbean getaway, you may be in luck! On select dates in June, US legacy carrier American Airlines is offering return flights from New York to Jamaica for as little as $451!
The flights
American Airlines operates a daily rotation between New York JFK and Jamaica's Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ). This hub is the busiest airport in the English-speaking Caribbean, handling almost five million passengers in 2019.
The outbound flight departs JFK at 06:50. The flight takes just over four hours, and, with touchdown in Montego Bay occurring at 09:56 local time, you could be on the beach by lunchtime! The return service departs at 11:14, with the three hours 55 minutes long flight arriving back in the 'Big Apple' at 16:09 local time.
American operates the Boeing 737-800 on this route. Business class consists of an exclusive 16-seat cabin at the front of the aircraft, with a 2-2 configuration of reclining seats. SeatGuru reports that the pitch is a generous 37 inches, with width coming in at an impressive 21 inches!
