Leading Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has launched another of its iconic one peso fare sales. This time it’s the longest yet, with sale fares open for a total of five days. Alongside 47 domestic destinations, the airline is celebrating its eighth year of serving Dubai with flights available from DH1 – around 27 cents.

The piso sale is back

Philippine airline Cebu Pacific is offering its first-ever five-day long ‘P1SO’ or piso sale. The piso sale is something that Cebu Pacific first introduced in 2004, and serves to promote very low-cost travel, with flight fares starting from just one peso (2 cents). The airline previously used these promotions for periods of one to three days to stimulate interest, most recently launching a three-day sale in March this year to celebrate its 25-year anniversary.

Now, the airline has announced its biggest ever seat sale, running for five days from October 10th to October 14th. Travel can be for anytime between June 1st and August 31st, 2022, with fares starting from a base fare of one peso, one way.

Rebooking is fee-free, as are changes to the tickets. That makes it a pretty perfect time for Cebu flyers to book their 2022 summer getaway with confidence. The airline is offering the low fares on 47 domestic routes and 11 international services. Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and customer experience Candice Iyog commented in a statement,

“As we enter the last quarter of the year, we are happy to have seen some positive developments in the travel industry. More and more people are gaining confidence to travel again, and we are happy to keep supporting our sector’s recovery through our trademark low fares.”

As Cebu Pacific emerges from the worst of the COVID crisis, anything it can do to stimulate demand is a welcome move. However, one particular route is getting some serious CEB love, and could see some passengers flying for nine hours for less than a dollar!

Eight years serving Dubai

Along with the five-day piso sale, Cebu Pacific has wrapped in another promotion in celebration of its eighth year serving the Manila – Dubai route. The deal is the same – bookings are open now and until October 15th for flights taking place between June 1st and August 31st next year.

From Dubai, passengers can hop across to Manila for as little as DH 1 – around $0.27. The segment is timed for nine hours and 30 minutes. That’s a lot of flying for not much money! This flight is usually priced at around $400 - $500, so it’s a huge saving for those keen to book a getaway for next summer. Iyog further commented,

“We are thrilled to share this eight-year milestone with everyone who continues to make us their airline of choice. Since Cebu Pacific first took to the skies of Dubai in 2013, which also marked its first low-cost, long-haul flight, our aim has always been the same — to provide safe, accessible and affordable travel for everyone.”

Flights are bookable on the airline’s website and will be discounted until October 15th.
