Chase Ultimate Rewards are one of the most valuable point currencies out there. The key to their value is their flexibility and the multitude of things you can do with them. Not only can you redeem them on some great travel options with Chase, but you can also transfer them to other loyalty programs. Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer to nine airline and three hotel loyalty programs.
You can transfer your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to 9 airline partners. Typically, transfers are instantaneous although in the case of Singapore it can take up to one day for the transfer to occur. All transfers from Ultimate Rewards are at a ratio of 1:1 and the minimum transfer is 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points. You can transfer your points to the following airline loyalty programs:
- Aer Lingus
- Air France/KLM
- British Airways
- Singapore Airlines
- United Airlines
- Virgin Atlantic
You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to three hotel partners. All transfers require a minimum of 1,000 points, and the ratio on all transfers is 1:1. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to the following hotel programs:
- Marriott Reward
- IHG Rewards Club
- World of Hyatt
Keep in mind that transfers to hotel programs are rarely the best use of your points. If you need a couple of thousand points for a specific redemption then it makes sense, but large transfers yield very poor value. Take for instance IHG Rewards Club; top-tier properties cost 70,000 points per night or a few hundred dollars. The same points transferred to an airline program can get you a ticket that costs several thousand dollars. So, it always makes more sense to transfer points to airline programs.
