First A330neo flight

Today marked the first time one of Condor's A330neos operated a revenue flight. The German carrier took delivery of its first two of the aircraft type back in December, on the 20th and 29th, respectively.

The first flight departed Frankfurt International Airport at 12:10. It landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 14:05. This February, the A330neo is scheduled to fly to JFK twice more, on the 20th and 27th. Next week, Condor will inaugurate its latest-generation Airbus widebody on its route to Seattle Tacoma International Airport. The airline has two scheduled flights to SEA with its neos this month, on the 16th and 23rd.

"We are thrilled that New York/JFK is our first North American gateway to receive our next-generation A330neo aircraft, which is truly a game-changer for Condor and for transatlantic travel." - Mikko Turtiainen, Director of Sales - The Americas, Condor Airlines

Turtiainen added,

"The response to the A330neo by the first guests to fly with us has been overwhelmingly positive, and we can't wait to have more Americans experience this modern, stylish, and sustainable aircraft as we roll out more of our A330neo fleet across North America."

March will see Condor's A330neos fly to another new US destination, Los Angeles International Airport. On the 14th, the German airline will add the Southern California metropolis to its growing list of routes serviced by the A330neo. By July, Condor's neos will be seen at the airports listed above, as well as Boston Logan International Airport, Harry Reid International Airport (Las Vegas), Portland International Airport, and San Francisco International Airport.

About the A330-900
