Delta has more A350s (24) than A330-200s (11), A330neos (19), and 767-400ERs (20). In fact, while not all of its A350s are active, it has more of them than any widebody except for the 767-300ER (45) and A330-300 (31).
Delta's A350-900s: a summary
Registered N501DN, Delta's first A350 arrived in July 2017. It now has 24, the last of which was delivered in January this year, registered N517DZ. Regarded as Delta's 'flagship' aircraft, most of its A350s seat 306 passengers, as detailed below. The exception is seven aircraft received from LATAM, which have 339 seats:
- 17 aircraft with 306 seats: 32 Delta One Suites, a lie-flat, enclosed business class product; 48 recliners in Premium Select, Delta's premium economy product; 36 extra-legroom economy seats; and 190 in regular economy
- Seven aircraft with 339 seats (LATAM): 30 business class seats; 63 in extra legroom; 246 in economy
Although there are various exceptions, the A350 tends to operate Delta's longer routes, notably to Asia, Australia, and Africa, including its longest route, Atlanta-Johannesburg, 8,439 miles (13,851km) apart. Not surprisingly, analyzing schedules shows that the A350's average sector distance this winter is 5,343 miles (8,599km), dragged down by shorter sectors by the 339 seaters. Next is the A330neo at 4,533 miles (7,295km).

22 winter routes
Delta has 22 main winter A350 routes, summarized in the table below. The difference in market between where the 306 seaters and 339 seaters are used is quite vivid.
There are also various very time-limited services, some of which I've not mentioned as they're already been and gone since the start of winter. Indeed, generally, they mainly exist because of the cross-over of aviation seasons. The main exception is two Las Vegas-Seoul services because of the electronics show.

When combined, Delta has 3,720 winter A350 flights, of which Cirium shows more than six in ten are to/from Asia-Pacific and Africa. South Korea is the leading country, driven partly by Seoul Incheon being an important SkyTeam hub because of Korean Air.
