Air Canada is currently offering some bargain transpacific fares on select dates towards the end of the year. It flies direct to Taiwan from Vancouver, British Columbia, at prices that you won't want to miss out on!

The flights

Using its Boeing 787-9 'Dreamliner' aircraft, Air Canada offers a direct transpacific service to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) in northern Taiwan. These flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) will resume at the end of March.

One quirk of this route is the conspicuous difference in flight times on each leg. The flight out to Taipei sometimes clocks in at nearly 14 hours, but the return leg is over comparatively quickly. Indeed, flying back to Vancouver can take under nine and a half hours, such is the beauty of the polar stream winds! You can enjoy these curiously timed flights for as little as CAD$515 later this year.

Depending on how the worldwide travel situation develops (hopefully positively!), these flights could mark a great way to end the year on an exotic high.
