Technology company AirFi will support easyjet in providing its passengers with a world-class in-flight digital experience. Starting October 4th, the airline will begin a trial of the tech companies leading potable streaming solution, the AirFi box. The box will allow passengers to browse the onboard flight menu, view the inflight magazine, destination and safety information, and play various in-flight games. All of these services will be free of charge to customers. The service will be accessible through passengers' mobile devices.

Leading in-flight experience

easyjet has been looking to build the world's best in-flight experience for its customers. It sees AirFi as the perfect partner to help it offer this experience. AirFi's services have been employed by over 70 airline and rail companies around the world. easyjet, with its fleet of over 300 aircraft servicing over 150 destinations, appears to be the perfect fit for the company's technology services. By offering it on all flights, more people will be able to utilize AirFi's world-class services. easyjet hopes the partnership will attract more customers while rewarding those already loyal to the low-cost carrier.

Passengers aboard the airline's Swiss fleet of 27 Airbus A320s from Basel and Geneva will experience a complete premium offering that includes the standard box content plus the ability to connect to WiFi for free on various devices ranging from laptops, mobile phones, and tablets. The airline will assess several factors throughout the trial, including customer satisfaction and connection reliability. Suppose it finds this technology to be beloved by passengers, and it delivers on its promises of offering the best in-flight experience around the world. In that case, easyjet will most likely agree to a long-term partnership with the tech provider.

Hopeful partnership

Both companies have shared their excitement and expectations for the new partnership. The Director of Inflight Retail for easyjet, Simon Cox, shared that the company anticipates that AirFi will be the right partner for its operations. Cox said,

"We selected AirFi to work with us having been impressed by their overall capabilities and the flexibility of their systems and platforms. We are confident they are the right partners to support us in realising our ambitions to deliver an industry-leading, digital onboard experience for our customers across Europe."

AirFi expects the partnership will help take their technology to the next level by sharing it with passengers of all backgrounds. It sees easyjets extensive outreach as the perfect outlet to further its plans of capacity growth. The CEO of AirFi, Job Heimerikx, stated,
