That didn't take long. Just a month after Emirates' first regular Dubai to Tel Aviv flight took off, the carrier has put a double daily service on sale. It means that Emirates and narrowbody partner flydubai will have 6x daily Tel Aviv flights. The route has developed enormously since since the normalization of relations in 2020.

Emirates: double daily to Tel Aviv

The Middle East carrier began Dubai to Tel Aviv on June 23rd. A month later, it has revealed a second daily service, which will start on October 30th, the day airlines in the Northern Hemisphere switch to winter schedules. It isn't known if it had always planned this or if it is due to performance being above expectations.

The new service is EK933/EK934. This is especially important as it will leave Dubai at 08:15, Emirates' largest departure bank to Europe and North America. It's a crucial time of day as departures are fed by the most significant number of arrivals from across Asia-Pacific and, less important for Tel Aviv, from across Africa. Emirates currently uses flydubai for this period, but it'll now see Emirates' first-class-equipped B777-300ERs.

  • Dubai to Tel Aviv: EK933, 08:15-09:50 (3h 35m block time) ← begins October 30th
  • Dubai to Tel Aviv: EK931, 14:50-16:25 (3h 35m)
  • Tel Aviv to Dubai: EK934, 11:50-16:50 (3h) ← begins October 30th
  • Tel Aviv to Dubai: EK932, 18:25-23:25 (3h)

Emirates and flydubai: 6x daily

The pair will now have 6x daily Tel Aviv flights, as scheduled below. Moreover, it means three departures from Dubai in the all-important morning period. In contrast, only one flight (leaving Tel Aviv at 18:25) arrives back in the UAE to feed Emirates' largest number of Asia-Pacific departures in the very early morning.

  • Dubai to Tel Aviv: 07:05-08:55 (flydubai), 08:15-09:50 (Emirates), 09:50 (flydubai), 14:50-1625 (Emirates), 20:55-22:45 (flydubai), 21:55-23:45 (flydubai)

Up to 13x daily Dubai flights

When Emirates' double daily is added, there will be up to 13x daily Dubai-Tel Aviv flights a day across five airlines. For example, on November 3rd, flydubai will have 4x daily, Israir 3x daily, Emirates 2x daily, El Al 2x daily, and Arkia 2x daily.

On this November day, Tel Aviv flights will leave Dubai at 07:05 (flydubai), 08:15 (Emirates), 09:50 (flydubai), 13:00 (El Al), 13:10 (Arkia), 14:15 (Israir), 14:50 (Emirates), 19:00 (Israir), 20:00 (El Al), 20:15 (Israir), 20:55 (flydubai), 21:55 (flydubai), and 23:15 (Arkia).

Tel Aviv will be Dubai's joint-fifth largest route by flights. It'll have the same number of services as Jeddah, with the pair behind only Riyadh, Mumbai, Bahrain, and Kuwait. (Tel Aviv will be ninth by seats due to smaller aircraft being used.) It's a phenomenal development for UAE-Israel relations. However, with around 5,000 daily seats for sale, it'll be interesting to examine, when data is available, performance by fares, passenger volume, and load factor.
