Nice: Long Weekends In Florida From California Under $100 Throughout February

This week, we have found various attractive fares to share with you over the coming days. The first route that we will be showcasing is Los Angeles, California (LAX) to Orlando, Florida (MCO). On this corridor, return flights to the sunshine state come in under $100 for a long weekend (Friday-Monday) throughout February!

The airlines

The flights that we have found for under $100 return are operated by either JetBlue or United Airlines. JetBlue operates the Airbus A320 family on this route, with United favoring the Boeing 737-900. Both JetBlue and United have extensive policies regarding the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which can be found on their websites.

CNN reports that Florida is not currently subject to any travel restrictions. However, there are measures in place on a regional basis throughout California. Its state government has stated that it will review these weekly based on hospital capacity. Further information is available on its website.

The dates

February is an attractive time to visit Orlando for several reasons. For motorsports fans, its proximity to Daytona International Speedway will be a big draw. It is here that, in mid-February, NASCAR's iconic Daytona 500 race takes place. Couples seeking a Valentine's getaway may also find the nearby theme parks at Disney World and Universal Studios to be particularly magical at this time of year. Both of these are open with limited attendance.

The flights, that are currently available for around $98 (for which you get around 10 hours of great-value transcontinental flying) in basic economy, can be found at the links below.

Friday, February 5th - Monday, February 8th.
Friday, February 12th - Monday, February 15th (likely to be popular due to Valentine's Day / Daytona 500).
Friday, February 19th - Monday, February 22nd.
Friday, February 26th - Monday, March 1st.

Unfortunately, these particular JetBlue flights do not feature its Mint business class. However, passengers can enjoy the airline's 'Even More Space' forward cabin for a surcharge, which JetBlue states varies by route. United does offer a full domestic first class service with a 2-2 configuration on this route. Round trips from LAX to MCO for long weekends in February in this cabin are currently listed at $719.
