The Denver, Colorado-based airline Frontier Airlines has announced a new daily nonstop service. The ultra-low-cost airline will soon begin flights directly from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) to Tampa International Airport (TPA).

Direct service to Tampa from Phoenix

The new daily route will begin today, May 11. Because of the new route, the airline is offering flights from Phoenix to Tampa for only $59. This shows Frontier Airlines's commitment to offering low fares for all offered routes.

The service is offered daily, with the initial flight leaving Phoenix at 6:00 am. The flight will land at the Tampa airport around 1:00 pm each day. This is subject to change from the airline. The returning flight is set to depart at 10:30 am from Tampa and arrive in Phoenix around noon each day.

The new destination to Tampa will be the airline's 19th flight route offered from the Phoenix airport. The Senior Vice President of Commercial for Frontier Airlines, Daniel Shurz, spoke about expanding its Phoenix offerings, saying,

"Frontier is proud to connect Phoenix to a wide variety of locations across the U.S. This new cross-country nonstop only serves to further our commitment to PHX and offer those in the Valley of the Sun convenient and affordable direct service to one of the most popular destinations in the U.S."

Frontier Airlines continues expanding its flight routes

The airline is continuing to expand its offered flights across the United States. Earlier this year, Frontier Airlines announced 11 new domestic routes. This includes four new routes departing from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), three new routes from Cleveland International Airport (CLE), two from George Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston (IAH), another route from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), and a single route from Midway International Airport (MDW) from Chicago.

The San Francisco routes will fly directly to Chicago Midway, Orlando International, Detroit International, and Cleveland International. These routes will be offered seasonally and as nonstop services.

The new routes from Cleveland will fly direct to Dallas-Fort Worth, San Diego, and Charlotte. These will be offered at least three times a week.

The new destination from Chicago Midway will be offered to Raleigh Durham. One of the Houston destinations is also Raleigh Durham, as well as flying to Phoenix. These are all seasonal flights that will begin service for the summer.

On top of that, Frontier Airlines is also expanding its services from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Three of these routes are beginning today, May 11. These new routes are a daily service to Ontario, a twice-weekly flight to Santo Domingo, and a daily service to San Diego. The other new destinations offered are Salt Lake City and Guatemala City. These flights are three times a week and two times a week, respectfully.

The airline has continued expanding its new routes internationally. Frontier Airlines will expand its service from San Juan to offer 20 routes. The new destinations include Cleveland, Baltimore, Chicago Midway, and Dallas Fort Worth. To celebrate its growing presence in Puerto Rico, Frontier Airlines recently revealed a new livery on one of its recently delivered Airbus A321NEOs.
