A JetBlue passenger got kicked off an aircraft last week after she refused to sit next to a child. She went on an angry rant and ended up being arrested at the airport.

What are the details?

Last Wednesday, 32-year-old Valerie Gonzalez was on JetBlue Flight 7 from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport (LAS).

She became very upset when she found out that she was supposed to sit next to a three-year-old toddler. According to USA Today, she reportedly said, "I'm not sitting next to a (expletive) 3-year-old. I've been drinking all day." Consequently, she decided to switch seats. Nonetheless, she apparently was not fond of her new seat neighbors either, as she continued to complain using explicit language.

Some passengers recorded a video of Gonzalez's outburst. If you are interested, one of the videos can be found on Twitter (Warning: The video contains explicit language.).

The video on Twitter shows Valerie Gonzalez talking to someone on the phone via some sort of video call. She tells the person that she didn't do anything wrong. Additionally, she can be seen spitting on the passenger sitting in front of her. She said the only thing she did was "call somebody old because they were."

Furthermore, she made sure to tell the passengers recording her to "make this viral." This wish did indeed come true. The video on Twitter already has over 70,000 views.

She continues to curse as she is gathering her belongings.

Valerie Gonzalez finally tells the passengers "Enjoy yourself in Vegas, babies," as she is leaving the aircraft.

What happened after Valerie Gonzalez got off the aircraft?

After police officers removed her from the aircraft, Valerie Gonzalez tried to get back on. She even hit a gate agent who tried to block her.

She was finally arrested by police and ended up being charged with battery.

What did JetBlue say?

JetBlue told USA Today: "On Thursday, February 14 – during the boarding of flight 7 from Fort Lauderdale to Las Vegas – crewmembers reported a disruptive customer onboard. Local law enforcement was called and the customer was removed from the flight."

This is JetBlue's second incident involving a drunk passenger in Fort Lauderdale this year. In January, a woman was arrested at the airport after she threatened a JetBlue employee. In this case, the passenger was denied boarding because she was drunk.

According to USA Today, the woman said: "(Expletive), who does that to a woman like me? You rapist, get me out of here. I have a (expletive) gun on me, because I'm homeless. Get me out."

JetBlue's Contract of Carriage states that the airline may refuse or remove "Persons who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of

drugs."
