Austin, Texas to Boston on JetBlue

Austin, Texas is a fast-growing city in the United States. The large number of tech companies with offices in Austin leaves business travelers itching for more nonstops or one-stops to key cities around the world. Moreover, the Texas capital is a growing tourist destination thanks to local attractions and a lively music scene.

Now, JetBlue is looking to cement its spot this growing aviation battleground. In order to cater to increased demand, JetBlue will offer up to three daily nonstop flights between Boston and Austin in 2020.

These added frequencies vary based on destination. However, in total, JetBlue plans on offering up to 180 daily departures out of Boston in 2020. What is it like onboard JetBlue?

Most of JetBlue's planes are in an all-economy configuration. However, JetBlue does also offer a stunning business class product onboard some Airbus A320 family aircraft. Called "Mint" these lie-flat seats are in a staggered configuration. The most private, "throne seats" even come with a door!

However, even in economy, JetBlue offers inflight seatback entertainment and solid legroom which should make both long and short flights fairly comfortable.

Overall

Boston is growing in importance. Delta Air Lines is bolstering service at the Massachusetts airport. And, this latest announcement from JetBlue will keep Boston as a hotly-contested airport. But, for travelers, this is good news. Greater competition means lower fares. Not to mention, new nonstop flights mean more destinations for passengers to visit.
