A two-hour strike is planned for Monday.

Brazilian airline crew is already feeling the pinch of post-pandemic travel demand. The National Union of Aeronauts (SNA) has announced it plans to strike for two hours on Monday from 06:00 to 08:00 Brasília time (BST), as the crew demands a 5% increase in wages and an extra 5.9% to match current inflation.

In addition, industry representatives are demanding improved working conditions, scheduling, and management of leave, paired with continued compliance with ground time between flights. The strike is currently planned to affect major airports in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Campinas, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, and Fortaleza.
