Qatar Airways has added Miami to its growing list of destinations served by the excellent Qsuite.

What are the details?

The Qatar Qsuite is one of the best business class seats flying in the world today, but as the product is still being rolled out since its inception in 2017, its availability is limited.

As mentioned by One Mile At A Time, so far the Qsuite is only available on:

  • Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, as these were delivered new with the Qsuites already installed.
  • Some A350-900s
  • Some 777-200LRs and 777-300ERs.

The Qatar Qsuite itself is an enclosed suite with a door (although you can look over the wall still) and the seat itself has 79 inches of pitch in seat mode (which is very big compared to other business class seat designs). In bed mode, the seat has 103 inches of pitch. The cabin is in a 1-2-1 configuration.

Each row alternates in direction, with the front row facing to the rear of the plane. You are not however looking into the eyes of your fellow passengers as the suite wall gives you a true sense of privacy. Those in the middle of the cabin can actually pull down the middle barrier and turn the two seats into a single bed. The dividing wall between rows can also be removed allowing four seats to sit around a single table.

Where can you fly the Qsuite in the USA?

If you are flying towards Doha, or want a good excuse to try and get onboard the Qsuite, then you will need to jet off from one of the following cities:

  • Chicago
  • Boston
  • Los Angeles
  • Houston
  • Washington
  • Dallas
  • New York
  • Philadelphia

All of the above have aircraft deployed on the route with Qsuites, although we can't guarantee that you will get to experience the class onwards to your final destination.

There are two cities in the USA that Qatar serves that have yet to get Qsuites, Atlanta and Miami. Until now.

Qsuites are coming to Miami

From the 1st of August 2020, you will be able to go from South Beach to Doha Corniche in luxury.

As initially reported by One Mile At A Time, Qatar is set to operate an A350-1000 to the sunbaked city for a month until October 24, 2020. Currently, the service is run by an Airbus A350-900 but this upgrade for two months is welcomed. It is a little bit unusual but perhaps they are taking the A350-900 out of service for a more permanent Qsuite upgrade.

Eventually, all Qatar routes will have the Qsuite (if applicable) as they upgrade their fleet.

What do you think? Will you be flying in the Qsuite from Miami to Doha? Let us know in the comments.
