The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card is a no-fee alternative to some of the other business cards in this family by Chase, and offers some attractive amenities while eliminating the annual fee that scares off so many potential cardholders. A little lower-end than the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card still manages to hold its own.
The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card’s bonus offer is $500 bonus cash back after you spend $3,000 within the first three months of account opening. Since this is a business card, most business owners won’t find this to be a tall order.
- $500 cash back sign-up bonus
- 5-percent cash back on the first $25,000 of select business-related purchases
- 2-percent cash back on the first $25,000 of restaurant and gas purchases
- 1-percent cash back on all other purchases, with no limit
- No annual fee
- Additional employee cards can be added to your account at no extra cost
- Purchase protection on new items (up to 120 days), up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account
- Extended warranties for eligible purchases
- Business rental car coverage
5% Cash Back
The five-percent cash back feature of the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card applies to spending at office supply stores, cable, internet and phone services. However, the $25,000 per year limit could be a deterrent for some larger business owners. That’s one way this card is a little more suited for small businesses versus mid-size or large ones, as the spending limits are more likely to be applicable to a smaller business.
0% Interest/$0 Annual Fee
Along the same lines, the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card’s features are very cognizant of what matters to small businesses just getting their start. That’s why it offers an introductory 0-percent APR period and no annual fee, to save entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses a little extra cash.
Insurance and Protection
The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card’s various protection features are nice as well. You get not only purchase coverage and extended warranties for items purchased on the card, but you also enjoy auto collision coverage for business rental cards, travel and emergency assistance services and roadside emergency coverage.
The $0 annual fee is pretty attractive for potential cardholders on the fence. The elimination of annual fees has been something we’ve noticed more cards offering, to attract a wider cardholder base.
When used within your Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card account, your points can not be transferred to an airline or hotel partner and the redemption options are limited (after all, the focus is on the cash back). However, you can transfer these points to another Chase card, if you have one, and then use the points as Ultimate Rewards points.
There are few downsides to this card as it has no annual fee. If you’re a small business, looking for a cost-conscious card that provides cash back, this could be the card for you.
