The Ink Business Unlimited℠ card was introduced as a complement to Chase’s current suite of business-centric cards. While the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card is good for small businesses with limited spending per year, and the Ink Business Preferred Card comes with some nice travel benefits, the Ink Business Unlimited℠ card is great for those business owners who have neither travel expenses or office-supply costs.
The Ink Business Unlimited℠ card’s bonus offer is the same as the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card: a $500 bonus after you spend $3,000 within the first three months of account opening. This should be a simple task for just about any business.
- $500 cash back sign-up bonus
- Unlimited 1.5-percent cash back on every purchase
- 0-percent intro APR, followed by a 14.99-20.99-percent variable APR
- Cash Back reward redemption through Chase Ultimate Rewards
- Purchase protection on new items (up to 120 days), up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account
- Extended warranties for eligible purchases
- Business rental car coverage and roadside dispatch
- Travel and emergency assistance services
1.5% Cash Back
The Ink Business Unlimited℠ card’s 1.5-percent cash back is good for business owners who don’t make a lot of bonus purchases. This 1.5-percent cash back is good on all purchases. While some other cards may offer larger cash back percentages on other purchases, the Ink Business Unlimited℠ card is stands apart because you can transfer your reward points to Ultimate Rewards points (if you have another Chase credit card that qualifies for Ultimate Rewards), and you’ll get greater value for the points by redeeming them for things like travel.
You do have a 0% APR for the first first year after opening your card’s account, which is nice, but do note that the APR jumps up after the initial 12 months.
Rental Car Coverage
Primary rental car coverage is a good (and relatively unique) benefit that the Ink Business Unlimited℠ card offers. You can turn down the coverage at the rental car counter and just put your rental on your Ink Business Unlimited℠ card, and the coverage is yours.
The $0 annual fee (an increasingly common perk on newer cards) is a nice bonus and makes it even more attractive to small business owners.
There are several redemption options with the Ink Business Unlimited℠ card. You can get cash back, use the points as Chase Ultimate Rewards points to book travel, shop with Amazon or redeem your points for gift cards. Obviously, one of the best (and most valuable) ways to redeem your Ink Business Unlimited℠ card points is via Ultimate Rewards.
Again, the Ink Business Unlimited℠ card is a nice option for small business owners who want to take advantage of that unlimited cash back offer, especially if you don’t necessarily make a lot of purchases that fall within the cash back offers for the other Chase Ink business cards.
