Thanks to various one-stop itineraries with carrier Copa Airlines, Floridian passengers can visit Peru for under $200 this August! The Panamian flag carrier flies into its Panama City hub from Miami and Fort Lauderdale. From there, it offers an easy connection onto Peru-bound flights serving the capital city, Lima.

The flights

Miami International (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International (FLL) are the starting points for these tempting August itineraries. The flight time from the former to Copa's Panama City Tocumen International (PTY) hub is around three hours. Fort Lauderdale clocks in a little longer at approximately three-and-a-half hours.

A quick connection in Panama City sees passengers join another Copa flight, for the three-and-a-half-hour hop to Peru's primary airport, Lima Jorge Chávez International (LIM). Copa tends to operate both of these legs with popular Boeing 737 Next Generation series (-700 and -800) aircraft. Carriers like JetBlue and Spirit fly directly from Florida to Peru, but at higher prices and without the opportunity to stretch your legs when connecting in Panama City.
