Qantas has launched its latest partnership with Bangkok Airways allowing its frequent flyers more options to visit destinations in South East Asia. Qantas' airline partnership includes a wide network of more than 45 carriers, giving its passengers options to choose from plenty of global destinations.

Partnership with Bangkok Airways

Starting November 1st, Qantas' frequent flyers will have the option of booking Classic Flight Reward seats to several destinations in South East Asia as the carrier launches its partnership with Bangkok Airways.

Qantas furthers its partnership with Bangkok Airways, which started in 2014 with a codeshare agreement. Bangkok Airways boasts several popular destinations in and around Thailand, including Koh Samui and Siem Reap.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth commented,

“Thailand is one of the most popular destinations for our frequent flyers and this partnership will make it easier for them to explore more of the region using their points.”

“The option to book reward seats on Bangkok Airways’ expansive network across Thailand and South East Asia will also open up thousands of new redemption opportunities.”

Partner airlines

Qantas enjoys partnerships with airlines from almost every corner of the world, and Wirth says that "there are millions available for booking now across domestic and international routes for the next year on Qantas, Jetstar and our partner airlines."

The carrier's frequent flyer airline network includes carriers such as Air France, British Airways, LATAM, El Al, Qatar Airways, Malaysia Airlines, and American Airlines, among others.

Qantas Frequent Flyer has also had recent initiatives to expand members' opportunities to use their points on flights, including 100,000 Classic Flight Reward seats between Australia and Japan and the extension of its commitment for 50% more reward seats until June 2023, the airline mentioned in a statement.

The airline is hopeful that the option to book reward seats on Bangkok Airways' network across Thailand and South East Asia will also open up thousands of new redemption opportunities.

About Bangkok Airways

A regional airline based in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok Airways was established in 1968 as a department in a company named Krungthep Sahakol Company Limited.
