The new routes began on June 1st, with the first flight landing at Dallas at 3PM.

Qatar issued this statement as reported by Travel Pulse,

“The A350-1000 has received tremendous acclaim on our global routes, thus we are excited to be expanding its footprint by bringing this world-class product to more of our U.S. routes. This aircraft launch in Texas is another historic moment in the aviation industry as it is bringing the groundbreaking A350-1000 to the ‘Lone Star State’ for the first time ever, offering the finest experience available in the skies. We are confident our Texas travelers will enjoy this new flight option for international travel, and we look forward to bringing the aircraft to more U.S. cities.” -

The Dallas route will be operating daily on the following frequencies:

  • QR733 Doha 0810 AM – Dallas 1515 PM
  • QR734 Dallas 1800 PM – Doha 1640 PM +1 Day

The route will take around 14 hours and 30 minutes.

These route frequencies will favor travelers, as the inbound US flight follows the sun all day, and the return operates overnight. Both flights also allow connections to and from Dallas, unlike rivals Emirates who depart/arrive at inconvenient times.

The Houston route will have the following daily frequencies:

  • QR713 Doha 0800 AM – Houston 1600 PM
  • QR714 Houston 1800 PM – Doha 1640 PM +1 Day

This route will take around 16 hours onboard the new A350-1000.

What is the onboard experience like?

The Qatar A350-1000 is brand new, and features the very best innovations from the airline. The aircraft will feature LED mood lighting to recreate sunrise and sunset, and lower altitude pressurization to help reduce jet lag.

The A350-1000 offers 327 seats across two cabins–46 Qsuite Business Class seats and 281 extra-wide 18-inch seats in Economy Class. Passengers will be able to enjoy the excellent Qsuite onboard, which has been rated one of the best business class seats in the air today.

The Qsuite features panels that slide away to create a private space (among either couples or a pair of four who face each other) and a double bed on every second row for two passengers. Qatar is proud to boast that their airline is one of only a handful to feature a double bed in business.
