A special Airbus A320neo livery will start flying in the US today. Spirit Airlines has unveiled a new partnership with Universal Pictures, Dreamworks Animation, and Universal Orlando Resort on a promotion for travelers to get special access to a new movie, "Spirit Untamed," and the possibility for an Orlando vacation. Alongside the promotion, an Airbus A320neo has been painted in a special promotional livery.

Spirit Airlines' special livery

On June 4th, DreamWorks Animation's new epic adventure will hit theaters, and Spirit Airlines is partnering to promote the film The movie, titled "Spirit Untamed," is the story of a headstrong girl trying to find her place in the world. She moves to a small town on the frontier and befriends a wild horse with whom she goes on many adventures.

This is not too far off what Spirit Airlines tries to offer its passengers. Low-cost and leisure-oriented, Spirit Airlines hopes to change its passengers' lives by connecting them with friends, families, and memorable vacations. Fliers can now look for the Airbus A320neo painted with the special livery highlighting Lucky and her horse.

Lania Rittenhouse, Vice President of Guest Experience & Brand at Spirit Airlines, stated the following:

"Lucky is the kind of character we admire here at Spirit Airlines. She meets her horse in the movie and tells him 'It's in your heart to run free. It's in mine, too.' As an airline, we give people the freedom to connect with loved ones and enrich their lives through travel. Having a girl like Lucky on the side of our plane reminds our Guests that we give them More Go so they can chase their wildest dreams."

A promotion for fliers

On each flight operated with this Airbus A320neo, one passenger will have the good fortune of sitting in the "Lucky Horsehoe" seat. This passenger will receive 1,000 Free Spirit points and a complimentary digital rental of the movie "Spirit Untamed."

Winners will receive roundtrip airfare to Orlando provided by Spirit Airlines. Accommodations will be at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Along with the trip, the winners will also receive admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure theme parks, and Universal's Volcano Bay water theme park.

The plane

The aircraft this livery is painted on is N932NK. This is one of the newer Airbus A320neo aircraft in Spirit's fleet. If the registration number sounds familiar, you are right. The jet previously sported the Brett Young livery.

Brett Young was the first Flyaway promotion under the brand new Free Spirit loyalty program. With enhanced perks at a lower spend threshold than what other airlines require, Spirit bills its frequent flier program as the "fastest way to earn rewards and status."

This is the next Flyaway promotion highlighting the new loyalty program and allowing passengers to partake in a new promotion and perhaps be rewarded inflight for flying Spirit Airlines. Keep an eye out on your flight to see if you could be on this aircraft and have a shot at sitting in the Lucky Horseshoe seat. You can use websites like Radarbox.com to check where this aircraft will fly.

As of writing, it appears the jet is scheduled to head to Tampa and Los Angeles out of Detroit. Expect this jet to make its way around Spirit's route network.
