Canadian airline Swoop has just announced a new non-stop flight between Canada and Jamaica. On September 10th, the WestJet-owned budget carrier revealed that it would fly from Toronto to Kingston in Jamaica twice a week starting in December.The ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) said that from December 8th it would offer two weekly non-stop flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Kingston Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Jamaica. To celebrate the new winter route, Swoop says it is offering a limited number of special fare introductory tickets starting from just CA$129 ($99).

When speaking about the new route, head of Swoop's Commercial & Finance operations, Bert van der Stege, said:

"We are thrilled to be expanding our presence in Jamaica with the introduction of service to Kingston to connect friends and families this holiday season and year ahead. Our travelers have embraced our always affordable flights to Jamaica, and we look forward to building on our success in the region with our new non-stop service connecting Toronto and Kingston."

Starting from December 8th, Swoop will fly from Toronto to Kingston, Jamaica, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Toronto to Kingston on Wednesday:

  • Swoop flight number WO646 will depart Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 13:25 and arrive in Kingston Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) at 17:35

Toronto to Kingston on Saturday:

Kington to Toronto on Wednesday:

  • Swoop flight number WO647 will depart Kingston Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) at 18:20 and arrive in Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 22:40

For the four-hour, ten-minute flight, Swoop will be using one of its nine Boeing 737-800s. All Swoop Boeing 737-800s are configured in a single class layout with 189 standard seats.

Swoop Toronto to Montego Bay flights

Along with the new Toronto Kingston flights, Swoop announced that, from today, September 11th, it would resume its service from Toronto to Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Jamaica. The return to the popular winter holiday destination marks the beginning of Swoop's international fall and winter schedule.

Toronto to Montego Bay on Saturday:

Montego Bay to Toronto on Tuesday:

  • Swoop flight number WO645 will depart Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ) at 14:05 and arrive in Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 19:13

Montego Bay to Toronto on Thursday:

  • Swoop flight number WO645 will depart Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ) at 13:30 and arrive in Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 17:40

When speaking in the Swoop statement about the Canadian ULCC returning to Kingston and Montego Bay, the Jamaica Tourist Board Regional Director Angella Bennett said,

Swoop certainly appears to be gearing up for the winter sun travel season and should have no problem enticing people to fly with them to Jamaica.
