Thailand will soon have a new full-service carrier as newcomer Really Cool Airlines is scheduled to announce its planned flight routes by the end of June and is slated to commence operations by the end of this year. Leading the newcomer is Patee Sarasin, the previous head of Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air, and he promises that Really Cool Airlines will surpass previous standards.

What's Really Cool Airlines all about?

If there's something we can all agree on, the new carrier's name is pretty unique as it's quite the bold suggestion of what passengers can expect when flying with Really Cool Airlines. According to Sarasin, the airline's slogan is 'We Fly the Future,' and the business model will be in between a luxury and budget carrier.

While it might sound confusing, Sarasin noted that although the prices for international flights will be similar to those of a low-cost carrier, the safety standards, customer service, and product standards of Really Cool Airlines will be closer to that of a luxury carrier. The new startup is also expected to fly international routes, as confirmed by Sarasin:

"We are thrilled to introduce Really Cool Airlines and look forward to providing passengers with an exceptional flying experience. Our team of experts has worked tirelessly to create a new standard for the aviation industry, and we’re excited to unveil in the coming months what we have in store.”

Where will Really Cool Airlines fly to?

Although the routes are yet to be revealed, Really Cool Airlines is expected to fly several international routes from Bangkok to hot spots within Asia, Australia, and Europe to revitalize Thailand's aviation and tourism sectors in line with the country's earlier announced goal of attracting at least 30 million foreign tourists this year.

Thailand has recognized the need to increase the number of airlines and flights serving the country, further emphasizing the vital role that Really Cool Airlines will play once it commences operations. Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt highlighted:

"Really Cool Airlines' commitment to providing a unique flying experience will not only enhance the travel experience for passengers but also contribute to the growth of Thailand’s resurgent travel and hospitality industries. We are excited to see what the future holds for the airline, and look forward to their inaugural flight."

Concerning its fleet management, the new startup is still in talks with aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing. But given that the airline already has the Airbus A350 painted with its supposed livery on its website, it's more likely that the first few additions to its fleet would be the Airbus widebody. As for how many Really Cool Airlines plans to acquire, it still remains uncertain at this time of writing.

Bottom line

A new startup airline that promises to elevate the passenger experience with things never done before in aviation and prioritize safety in every aspect, Really Cool Airlines is already riling up tons of anticipation before even announcing its route network.

If you're enticed by what Really Cool Airlines has to offer, then get ready to mark your calendars for June when the route network is announced, and sometime in December as the airline will hopefully be ready for boarding in about 188 days, according to the countdown on its website.
