Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has announced that it has partnered with tour operator Compass to provide flights to winter sun destinations from Boryspil International Airport (KBP) in the country's capital Kyiv. In a statement published on December 8, 2021, Ukraine's largest airline said that, beginning December 27, it would start flying to the exotic resorts of the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana), Mexico (Cancun), and the Maldives (Male).

The winter sun flights will be operated using a EuroAtlantic Airways Boeing 767-300ER. UIA says that the Portuguese-owned aircraft will have a two-class cabin layout and will be partially crewed by UIA staff. UIA advises potential customers to get acquainted with Compass Travel by visiting their website at kompastour.com.

About the destinations

Punta Cana:

Home to the Dominican Republic's most picturesque beaches and turquoise seas, Punta Cana is a manufactured Caribbean resort that caters to the needs of sun-seeking vacationers. With over 24,000 rooms available at affordable rates, Punta Cana is a reasonably priced winter sun destination that will appeal to travelers of all ages.

Cancun:

With 12 miles of powdery white sand and warm tropical seas, it is easy to see why developers decided to turn this part of the Yucatán Peninsula into an international resort. While Cancun might bring up mental images of college spring break, it is also abundant in Mayan Culture, with the ruins and pyramids of Chichen Itza nearby. Foodies will love Cancun, too, for not only its Mexican delicacies but cuisines imported from around the world.

Male:

Located southwest of Sri Lanka in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives are a chain of low-lying islands that boast the best beaches in the world. Every resort in the Maldives is like being on your own private island, making it difficult to choose where you want to stay. At the upper end, you have the world's top hotel chains catering to honeymooners looking for that once-in-a-lifetime vacation, but there is also plenty of choices for travelers on a budget.

With year-round warm waters and brightly colored schools of fish, it is easy to see why the Maldives are popular with divers. The Maldives also offers world-class surfing on the central and outer atolls, which means if you are into any kind of water sports, there is always something to do.
