Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has updated its flight schedules for the northern 2020/21 winter. The airline will operate flights to multiple destinations within Ukraine and send its planes to 23 international cities, operating as far afield as Dubai and Egypt. The new services will run in addition to current flights.

Currently, UIA is running domestic flights between Kyiv and Lviv, and Odesa and

Kharkiv. These services will continue to run. In addition, daily flights between Kyiv and Kharkiv will start on October 25. Daily flights will also resume between Kyiv and Odesa. There are no updates to existing flights operating to and from Chernivtsi, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Vinnytsia, and Zaporizhia.

Meanwhile, the proposed services between Kyiv and New York have been pushed back until the end of the 2020/21 winter. That's due to a variety of factors, including the significant deterioration of the political situation in Ukraine and the broader downturn in travel demand this year.

“The combination of these factors, leading to a decrease in both direct traffic from Ukraine to New York and transit traffic to the United States, became the reason for revising the feasibility of restoring a direct Kyiv-New York flight in 2020,” a Ukrainian news website reported an airline spokesperson saying earlier this month.

Ukraine International Airlines encourages passengers to check their website regularly for updates or changes to schedules.
