From November 21st, Vistara will increase flight frequency to London from Delhi. The Haryana-headquartered carrier is excited to boost its winter schedule with these services.

Significant increases through the winter

According to a report by News18 India, the airline is conducting these flights to London as part of the bilateral travel bubble agreement between India and the United Kingdom.

There will be even more flights added from December. The operator's Boeing 787 aircraft will be flying to London daily before the year is over. Moreover, flight timings are being amended for passenger convenience. This retiming will go into effect on October 25th.

"The airline has increased frequency from the current 4x weekly to 5x weekly flights from November 21, further ramping up to 7x weekly or daily flights effective December 1. Vistara's Delhi-London route will continue to be serviced by its brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft." Vistara said in a statement seen by Simple Flying.

"Vistara consistenly follows the highest standards of hygiene onboard its  aircraft. In line with the health and safety norms, the airline has re-introduced food & beverage service offering for customers. Aircraft interiors are deep-cleaned after every flight using approved cleaning agents - a procedure that includes thorough sanitisation of all surfaces such as seats, touchscreens, overhead bins, seatbelts, tray tables, galleys, etc."

Catering to passenger needs

Vistara's first 787 flight to London under this bubble started on August 28th. The full-service carrier's operations between the capitals of India and the UK seem to be going well amid the increase in flight frequencies.

The airline proudly recently rolled out WiFi on its 787 jets. This move made it the first Indian carrier to offer this service. The initial WiFi-enabled flight took place last month on the Delhi to London route. Passengers were treated to the free Panasonics Aviation/Nelco-designed feature following its instruction.

Flights to London from South Asia are a hot topic at the moment. Yesterday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced that it is looking to restart flights to London at the end of this month. The flag carrier of Pakistan plans to fly to the city with wet leased Hi Fly A330 aircraft from October 31st.

Additionally, this week British Airways flew to the Pakistani city of Lahore for the first time. This move further highlights the demand for services between South Asia and the UK.
